A PERSONAL INTERPRETATION BY JIL SANDER
Jil Sander’s collaboration with Thonet marks her first foray into the world of furniture design. With the JS . THONET signature collection, she has taken the most famous tubular steel classics from the late 1920s and put her own stamp on them. For the SERIOUS line, Jil Sander worked closely with the Thonet Design Team to take the S 64 tubular steel classic, the S 1070 table, the S 411 armchair and the B 97 sidetable to a new level, opting for gleaming frames with a titanium look. The chairs in this line have a leather upholstered seat and backrest, available in four different shades: graphite black, graphite ruby red, graphite green or graphite blue. The wooden frames of the seat and backrest, along with the armrest covers, have been given a high-gloss finish in the same colour. The S 64 is also available in a version with a canework seat and back in DARK MELANGE.

The S 1070 table and the B 97 sidetables are available with high-gloss tabletops in graphite black, graphite ruby red, graphite green and graphite blue. As the S 1070 tabletop consists of two separate elements divided lengthwise, it can be configured in either a single colour or in two different shades. The B 97 SERIOUS sidetables also come in a marble version in nero marquina gloss. These luxurious reinterpretations have been created using a holistic approach, underscoring the exceptional design of the original designs while sensitively elevating every last detail. As an exclusive detail, all of the products in the JS . THONET collection have the collection name and Jil Sander's signature beautifully engraved on the tubular steel frame, highlighting the premium value and authenticity of each piece.
