STUDIO NOTARILE MORONE

The Studio Notarile Morone based in Torino was founded in 1910 and can look back on a long corporate history. For the redesign of their offices, the notaries decided in favour of numerous pieces of Thonet steel furniture – including classics as well as contemporary designs. In collaboration with architect Silvia Banfo, conference, console and side tables as well as chairs and sofas were selected; their tubular steel frames harmoniously fit in with the colour concept kept in bright white, lush royal blue and light grey.

In the highly frequented notary’s office, up to ten people can sit at the conference table S 8000 designed by Hadi Teherani. The table system is characterised by an elegant leg bracket made of finely ground stainless steel, which continues on the surface of the tabletop like a ribbon and becomes the central functional surface. Media modules are integrated in it, and the cabling runs invisibly in the table’s support structure. Cantilever chairs model S 60 V by Glen Oliver Löw covered with white nappa leather are grouped around the conference table.

In another area of the notary’s office a one-seater and a two-seater of the variable sofa range S 5000 designed by James Irvine form a cosy seating corner. The tubular steel of the sofa frames is repeated in the coffee table B 20 a/1 in pure white. The ensemble is staged on a large, bright blue carpet. 

Individual pieces of furniture such as the white nested tables range B 9 (a classic by Marcel Breuer from the years 1925/1926) and the elegant console table B 108 with storage shelf function as decorative solitaries. The furnishing, characterised by tubular steel, is rounding off with a chrome-plated Thonet LUM floor lamp.
