Intervest, a successful Belgian real estate company, has opened its newest location in Antwerp: Greenhouse Collection, a workplace that turns the traditional office set-up on its head and creates space for ambitious growth and personal development. Here, rigid working hours and dusty offices are a thing of the past. TBhe flexibly adaptable spaces have been furnished with stylish products from Thonet.

Thonet furniture is the perfect solution for workspaces in today’s ever-changing world of work, and Greenhouse Collection Antwerp is no exception. The spaces feature select bentwood and tubular steel designs from Thonet that get used on a daily basis – all manufactured to technical perfection, all functional and all made with the highest level of craftsmanship.

A new way of working

The Greenhouse co-working areas feature expansive windows as well as rows of Thonet’s iconic tubular steel cantilever chairs in the models S 43, S 32 and S 64. These exceptionally comfortable chairs are arranged around large communal tables and can also be used for more focused work at separate workstations. The S 64 Atelier swivel chair – a spin-off of Marcel Breuer’s classic S 64 cantilever chair – adds another flexible seating option.

The building’s small, separate meeting rooms are furnished with Thonet’s elegant 118 wooden chairs as well as the 118 H barstools from the same collection, lacquered in glossy black and with canework seats. These designs by Sebastian Herkner have elegant lines and refined details, making them both contemporary and understated. The 118 range is also used in the meeting rooms with high tables: Greenhouse Collection customers come together here on the 118 H barstools to exchange ideas and brainstorm.

Work hard – play hard

As well as numerous open-plan work areas, the Greenhouse Collection also has spaces for relaxation and conversation. Thonet chairs are used in multiple cafés and bars throughout the building, which are the perfect spot for a coffee break or socialising after work. Two product lines feature: the 118 in natural wood as well as the S 32 cantilever chair and S 32 H barstool in sleek tubular steel.

Thonet’s famous 214 bentwood chair is even used around the Greenhouse poker table, where many an exciting game is played.
