RESTAURANT POPELIER IN GOOIK
The meat and wine restaurant “Poplier” is located in the idyllic Pajottenland on the outskirts of the small Belgian town of Gooik. The roughly 100 year-old building was completely renovated in 2016 and transformed into a modern restaurant with rustic elements. Here, master chef Patrick de Gendt offers a culinary journey through Europe’s best meat regions with different types of steaks – from Galician Blond to Scottish Black Angus to Limousin beef from the French region of the same name. The dishes are paired with exclusive wines, selected by Yanick Dehandschutter, the “Sommelier of the Year 2015”.
