Guests were welcomed by sisters Jules (@herz.und.blut) and Maria (@ponysailor), who curated the afternoon with great sensitivity. Their sense for atmosphere, materials and special moments shaped the entire experience. Maria prepared a lovingly composed menu which, accompanied by lively conversation and new encounters, turned the table into a place of connection.
At the centre of the setting was a long, generously laid table, framed by S 33 and S 34 cantilever chairs. With their new fabric upholstery, Mart Stam's iconic designs from 1926 were presented in a cosy, textile interpretation. The fine feel and warm appearance of the upholstery lend an additional dimension to the clear lines of the tubular steel classics – an interplay of history and the present that once again underlines the timeless relevance of this furniture.
The scene was complemented by a carefully arranged string shelf, staged in the Klub Maison style, which created a calm, inspiring backdrop. On the table itself, Luiz's high-quality textiles added accents: fine fabrics, harmonious colour schemes and personalised napkins gave the occasion an individual, almost festive character.
Friendsgiving at Klub Maison became an experience that went far beyond a shared meal. It was an interplay of design culture, craftsmanship and human closeness – a moment in which Thonet classics were able to show their familiar elegance in a new light and brands, people and ideas came together at one table.
An afternoon that impressively demonstrated that good design has the special power to create closeness and open up spaces for encounters.
