Adam is the founder and owner of Studio Adam, a Berlin-based creative studio focusing on branding, creative consulting and world building.
His work has been strongly influenced by his time spent abroad. Stays in New York City and Japan have had a lasting influence on his creative style – particularly due to the contrast between urban dynamism and minimalist design traditions. Adam deliberately incorporates these experiences into his projects and combines them with a modern, individual design approach.
In addition to his work as a creative consultant, Adam uses his Instagram channel to provide behind-the-scenes glimpses into his everyday life, home décor and how he works. He focuses first and foremost on aesthetics, which shapes both his personal environment and his professional work.
Originally designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, the S 533 F is much more than just a functional chair. It’s a design statement. Mies van der Rohe was one of the first to revolutionise the cantilever principle not only technically, but also in terms of design. The characteristically curved tubular steel frame brings lightness and dynamism to any room, making the S 533 F a real eye-catcher.
“A quiet icon, a beautiful contrast between the cold, slender tubular steel frame and the warm, textured, hand-woven reed seat. Timeless German design from 1927 that feels sculptural and soft.” - Adam Spychala
The clean lines, minimalist choice of materials and transparent appearance make the S 533 F a masterpiece of modern furniture design. But it’s not just the chair’s design that makes it stand out: the slight give in the seat makes it exceptionally comfortable and thus also the perfect choice for stylish, relaxed seating – whether in a living room, office or reception area.
Unlike many designs from the 1920s, which were primarily functional in nature, the S 533 F deliberately presents itself as refined and elegant. Here, architectural concepts fuse with interior design. Mies van der Rohe’s signature style is clearly evident – in every detail, in every line.
