A 660, "the loop chair," convinces with the simplicity of its form, reduction of materials and the combination of modern and traditional elements. The core of the design is a bentwood frame in the shape of a loop. Polyester mesh is stretched on this loop. A metal bracket supports the seat; a column leads to the base. In his design, James Irvine combines Thonet's bentwood tradition and warmth of the material with the lightness and comfort of modern materials. A 660 is a perfect combination of visual clarity and high comfort. It fits into homes as well as restaurants and meeting rooms.
