454 H Design: This barstool is part of the chair program 454. Solid wooden chairs – beautifully designed, elegant, comfortable and robust. Suitable for furnishing restaurants, cafés, and homes. Program 454 takes as its standard a chair that has been furnishing the traditional restaurant Kronenhalle in Zurich since the 1930s. This chair is a remarkable example of an anonymous in-house design of high design quality. Stefan Zwicky has realized it in a way that allows Thonet to mass produce it. The barstool is oriented towards this basic model formally and with respect to materials. Without armrests. Seat in wood or upholstered with leather or fabric. Wood versions stained beech, maple, black cherry, nut, or oak. Foot ring made of rectangular steel tube. With gliders for hard or soft floors.
