B 109

Design:
THONET, 1930/31

When tubular steel first appeared on the scene in the furniture sector in the1920s, architect Marcel Breuer created the famous table set B 9 using this new material. The various chair models were developed afterwards. The Thonet catalog from 1930/31 already included a large range of side furniture, designed by Breuer and other architects - and also by Thonet. The series includes: The practical folding table B 109. When folded up it is a console on the wall, 45 cm deep. When needed, the tabletop folds out, turned by 180° and locked in place - the table with tabletop size of 90 x 90 cm is ready.

Frame chrome-plated tubular steel, wooden elements in stained beech or with cover varnish in various shades.
